Wood Furniture Care

Wood as a natural material has been recognised as being sensitive to light. During the early days of ownership you may notice a colour change or "mellowing" of the surface colour. Whilst we endeavour to match up veneers it should be noted that each piece of wood is unique and some variation in colour, grain pattern and texture may occur. These factors are perfectly normal.

Your furniture has been polished with an acid catalyst polish, which offers degree of resistance to abrasion, wet & dry heat and spirit solutions. Spills should however be wiped immediately. In normal circumstances, the only cleaning required for polished surfaces is to wipe carefully with a slightly damp cloth.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SPRAY AND WAX POLISHES SHOULD NOT BE USED.

Laminates

Laminates are man-made material. They come in a huge range of finishes and colours. Much more stable and durable than veneered surfaces it is a popular choice of finish in high use areas. Due to the diversity of finishes please clarify any specific care instructions at the time of purchase.

Athena solid surface

Athena is manufactured from synthetic resins and natural minerals with fire retardant properties and is highly durable. We recommend that you regularly wipe the surface with a clean damp cloth to remove any spillage and dry the surface using a clean dry cloth. Lastly polish the surface with a yellow duster.
